During the last days, it has been rumoured that some clubs like Levante could be offering monetary prices to the rivals of Athletic and Celta, all of this in order to secure its permanence in Primera. Caparrós analysed the situation: "It's inevitable that people will be asking about this issue, and the response is always the same. The higher motivation in the case of Athletic, and in our case the professional behaviour of the players."
Joan Capdevila also talked this rumour: We are professionals and a payment isn't a thing that motivates us, but if somebody pays you for winning a match, you will never say no. But, I can assure you that nobody has offered money to the squad. It's a lie. I don't know what will happen tomorrow, but the main thing it's our prestige and to wash away the image of Sevilla."
Captain Manuel Pablo also wanted to leave a clear message about a payment from a third party: "I will not see it as a bad thing, but we aren't receiving a payment from other clubs. It's something that people always comment, but I have never received such a thing. No matter if we receive a payment, people should realise that we aren't going to Bilbao in order to make a party."
Meanwhile, Jorge Andrade talked about the will of the team, the Portuguese defender said that despite the team seems to be demotivated, Depor is willing to achieve this three points: "Fans are sad because they are used to other things, but I think that the situation will change on the next year and that we will grow. For the moment, we will be concentrated, we will show that the squad is able to do more, that we will never surrender and that the team is able to achieve this three points."
The ex-Porto defender was asked about his future. One more time, Andrade answered that he is happy in La Coruña: "I still have a two-year contract, what can I do? (he laughs), I must work for this club, one that has gave me everything in Spain. I'm really content for what has happened, but if I have to continue on here, I will not have any problem with that."
